These days i am struggling with my cosmetic collection & i definitely need aBAG for my small collection of lipsticks...so i decided to make one for myself...but a BOXY one ...haa i love boxy pouches...i am so in love with them...i was a little scared at first because i did't know how to make them & stitching zip is monstrous ...i searched and stumbled upon lots of tutorial ...some are very good ..the one i like the most is http://projectsbyjane.blogspot.in/2009/01/lined-zippered-boxy-pouch-tutorial.html . I followed this tutorial & loved the outcome result. As for inserting zip i have seen lots & lots of tutorial ,then only i managed to insert a zip.
I wanted a bigger BOXY BAG than this tutorial, as you know my Cosmetic Collection is a little bit Bigger, :) so i changed the dimensions.
You will find my Dimension details below:
* 7" by 11" of main fabric -2 piece
* 7" by 11" of lightweight interfacing -2 piece
* 7" by 11" of lining fabric - 2 piece
* And you need 1 zipper, i used the longer one because i am not very good with inserting zips.
* rulers.
* and a sewing machine.
Next step:
after cutting , you will get 6 pieces of fabric ...now fuse the interfacing first with your main fabric.
then insert zip in between two fabric and cut off excess zip.
stitch both lining and main fabric separately. 
now trim off the all 4 sides on bag ...here is the image.
